The Philodendron red sun is a striking plant. Young leaves emerge in a shade of bright red, that gradually transform into burgundy red-purple. Eventually, as they reach full maturity, the leaves will turn into a bright green colour.
Care Instructions
Light: Bright, indirect light. The brighter the light, the more vibrant the new leaves will be.
Water: Allow top two inches of soil to dry between watering.
Temperature: Standard room temperature. Avoid cold drafts as they will cause yellowing leaves and leaf drop.
Humidity: Thrives in higher humidity- frequent misting will keep this plant happy.
Pet Friendly: No - if ingested can cause burning and swelling in the mouth.
