One of the most photogenic houseplants is the Begonia maculata, also known as the polka-dot Begonia or spotted Begonia. It is definitely not just your average hanging basket begonia but one with large angel wing- shaped leaves patterned with polka dots on top and deep purple red on the bottom side.
- Position- Bright/Indirect Sunlight.
- Water- Water regularly, do not let soil get too dry for too long.
- Temperature- 18-22oC.
- Ultimate Height-Can reach up to 2m tall.
- Pot Size- 11.5cm.
It is rumoured that Christian Louboutin created his trademark red-heeled shoe to mimic the underside of the Begonia maculata.
